Dawn C. Burrell
Apostle and Senior Minister
Kingdom Greetings,
Reverend Burrell was appointed to serve as New Creations Christian Church and Ministries' Senior Minister in March of 2002 and officially installed in December 2002 by Bishop Michael V. Kelsey, Sr. Prior to that, she served in many capacities - to include armorbearer, State Director of Evangelism, church administrator, women's ministry leader, intercessory prayer leader, preacher, teacher, lay counselor - Laurel Pregnancy Center, and Pastoral Care Department with Doctors Community Hospital, Lanham, MD; and Christian Education Director. Dawn became a licensed minister in September 1996; ordained minister in September 2001; and ordained apostle in May 2013. Apostle Dawn has written for I AM Prayer Magazine, been featured on She Prays and Believes Podcast 2024, and in Distinguished Woman Magazine 2024; and ministered the love and word of God in Jamaica, WI and Merida Yucatan, Mexico. Prophetic Prayer Call continues to thrive since teleconference was first named such in 2011.
The attributes that best describe Apostle Dawn as a senior minister are compassion, love for God and the people of God, strong teaching, prophetic intercessor, transformational leader, and discerning counseling. She has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like New Creations Christian Church and Ministries where biblical views expressed through a transformed lifestyle are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. Apostle Dawn takes worship and ministry of word very seriously, spending the first hours of her day in quiet time with the Lord. New Creations is now in somewhat of a transition that is leading us toward a greater path of effectiveness within the body of Christ and the world writ large.
Apostle Dawn graduated from Washington Bible College in 1999 w/B.S. in Biblical Studies- Pastoral Counseling; Nyack College and Seminary (Alliance University) in 2013 w/M.S. in Organizational Leadership; Capella University 2020 w/Human Resources Management Certification; and ED.D (ABD) with Grand Canyon University 2022 in Organizational Leadership and Development
Her overcoming Scripture remains Jeremiah 29:11 (NKJV)
"For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
