October month of Overflow

1 Chronicles 21. An offering should cost the giver in terms of self, time or money. To give sacrificially requires more than a token effort or gift. God wants us to give voluntarily, but He wants it to mean something.  Giving to God what costs you nothing does not demonstrate commitment.  Getting ahead by giving really doesn’t sound right, but God says that if you do it He will bless you. In fact, God says that He will prove to you that giving works (Malachi 3:8-10). "Give freely and spontaneously. Don’t have a stingy heart. The way you handle matters like this triggers God, your God’s blessing in everything you do, all your work and ventures" (Deuteronomy 15:10 MSG). God promises that when you give to Him, He will meet your needs through His provision of supply.
